More than 80 per cent of Thiess Services’ turnover is derived from repeat business. A significant number of existing clients have chosen to move to collaborative contracts with Thiess Services, proving our success as industry leaders in performance, innovation and environmental management.
Our clients, joint venture and alliance partners include numerous local council and State government authorities as well private enterprises.
Listed below are brief descriptions of the relationships we have with some of our major clients that moved from traditional contracts to alliance or alliance principle contracts or formed joint ventures as a result of our impressive performance delivery.
South East Water
Thiess Services has provided maintenance services to South East Water (in Victoria) since 1993.
In 2005 Thiess Services and Siemens formed a consortium (now the ‘us’ – Utility Services Alliance) to provide operations and maintenance services and minor capital works to South East Water. This landmark alliance agreement combined the operational and systems know how of a water retail utility, with the construction, maintenance and technology capacity of two recognised leaders in their areas. The alliance provides a 24 hour (7-day) response service to 1.3 million customers across 3640 sq km of Melbourne.
Melbourne Water
Originating as a drainage maintenance contract in 1993, Thiess Services has provided maintenance and minor capital works services to Melbourne Water for 15 years. As a result of Thiess Services’ consistent service results and exceeding the client’s expectations the project was revised to an alliance principles contract.
Swan Water Services
Formed in 2002, the alliance involves the operation and maintenance of the Western Australian Water Corporation’s northern metropolitan water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure. The alliance is made up of 130 staff from Thiess Services and the Water Corporation, and has been commended for its commitment to occupational health and safety.
Brisbane City Council (Brisbane Waste Innovations Alliance)
Thiess Services has been successfully delivering waste management and transport services to Brisbane City Council for nine years. Originating as a project management contract and converting to an alliance in late 2006, Thiess Services operates and maintains five transfer stations and a landfill on behalf of the Brisbane City Council.
Thiess Services Middle East
Thiess Services and Al Habtoor Leighton Group formed this joint venture in late 2007 specifically to provide utilities maintenance, waste management and facilities management services to clients in the Gulf Region.

Silcar
Formed in late 2000, Silcar draws on the combined expertise of Thiess Services and Siemens. Providing a truly independent approach to technology and vendor selection, Silcar delivers telecommunications services such as network planning; design and infrastructure; inspection survey and testing; and operation instillation and maintenance across the country. Major projects include the design and construction of the Telstra Regional Optic Fibre Network.
Re-organic Energy Swanbank
Established in 1999 the alliance between Thiess Services, Land Management Services (LMS), CS Energy and New Hope Energy involves the capture of landfill gases for electricity generation.
Springmount Waste Management Facility
Formed in 2004, the joint venture between Thiess Services and FGF Developments involves the design, construction, ownership and operation of a landfill located in Far North Queensland.

Mini Pickers is a well established hire company forming part of the Western Region of Thiess Services Pty Ltd. Mini Pickers has been operating in the West Australian market for the past 23 years and has established a reputation for providing a safe, professional and reliable service for its clients.
