Biohazardous Waste

Thiess Services is a preferred ‘National Return and Disposal of Unwanted Medicines Ltd (NRUM)' collection service, a national organisation established by the Commonwealth Department of Health to undertake the collection and destruction of unwanted and out-of-date medicines from the Australian community.

The disposal of biohazardous waste collection encompasses some of the following categories:
  • Sharps, biological fluids or tissues
  • Microbial cultures and material contaminated by such cultures
  • Disposal and elimination of defence waste
  • Containers or materials saturated with unsafe human products
Our biohazardous waste disposal services are provided to Hospitals, Government entities and commercial clients, some of our clients include:
