E-Waste Recycling
Through our E-waste recycling facility at North Wyong on the New South Wales Central Coast, Thiess Services has established a position at the forefront of sustainable waste management practices.
E-waste is all electronic items that operate via an electrical current and includes computers and accessories, monitors, printers and copiers, telecommunications equipment, televisions and electronic medical equipment.
At our recycling facility, E-waste is received and dismantled to yield basic components that are sorted and prepared for on sale to end users in Australia and internationally for use as raw product in other recycling and manufacturing processes. Approximately 95 to 98 per cent of every electrical item brought to the facility is processed for recycling and on-sale.
When required, the facility ensures complete destruction of hardware, up to and including the physical shredding of hard drives and the provision of certificates of destruction.
